Chris Hillman, Data Science Director at Teradata, highlights that many AI projects fail not due to technical issues but because business executives lack a proper understanding of AI models. He argues that AI success hinges on executives' ability to grasp AI's role, engage in the development process, and make informed decisions based on AI outputs. Hillman suggests that real-world use cases are more effective in educating executives than traditional courses, emphasizing the need for strong business sponsorship to drive AI initiatives.

The topic of "GenAI-first UX" is starting to bubble up in the world. You could make some arguments that this was the point of chatbots in the past - but you know - chatbots really didn't quite get us there:
Ok - so what's changed? Well. Large Language Models are getting us a lot closer to interpreting correctly the questions being asked and coming back with the answers desired.
Yay. So, what does that mean?
Well, first of all, it means that I don't have to learn every navigation experience on the planet. have you ever done a deep dive into Salesforce or Microsoft Office? How many menu items do you know how to use? 20 or so of the most common ones that come up in your work daily? If that? Or do you just spend 5 minutes each time you need to get something done trying to quickly scan through things to find what you want? I mean - really - is that the best way we can spend our time?
What about when you get a business card from someone? Connect with them on LinkedIn? Look them up on Insta or TikTok or YouTube?
Honestly - I want the tech to take me where I need to go and help me get the job done. JARVIS right? Tony Stark - you out there somewhere?
Ok - so it's not quite there yet. But for us to get there in the first place, it's going to take a lot of people thinking in this way - let's not let "GenAI-first UX" languish on the shelf.
