Just one more thing

We're all just at the beginning of this. There are plenty of things that we have to work through and learn to make AI a really compelling and useful part of our lives.

If you're an investor, don't take my word, many of us are saying the same thing - the world of AI is still at the beginning of the first lap in the first mile of an ultramarathon.

If you're considering adding Generative AI to the way you work, my best advice to you is to just try things out - ask the AI questions about itself, heck, ask the AI to create a curriculum about learning to use the AI itself. And then - think about the work you do. What's taking the most time? What do you enjoy the least? What do you wish you could hand off to someone else? Maybe that's an opportunity?

If you're a leader in a company, one you move past the hype and the fear, think about the journeys that we all go through to get our jobs done and ask yourself, what if we could give everyone a magic infinite paintbrush that could do all the things we don't enjoy so that we could concentrate on doing work that's meaningful, impactful and that we can take pride in?

If you're a student, I probably don't need to say much - I'm betting you're finding ways to use these tools already.

But if you're an educator, what else could this do to make you the best educator possible?

I'd say more about personal use but really - I'm betting that a lot of us are taking advantage of these tools in our personal lives in all sorts of ways. In one example, a friend of mine was trying to convey some tough news to a family member and ChatGPT let this turn into a brainstorming session as well as a sounding board to think it through. Recipes and cooking are one possibility, exploring infinite curiosity is another, but maybe you just plan your travel itinerary and try and figure out some really unique excursions you can take wherever you may go.

This is just the beginning...
